Franco-Fun Networking
Initiative
This innovative program regarding Canadian
official languages was first launched in October 2003. It
is the result of a close collaboration between Éducacentre and the Pacific Federal Counsel, with Western Canada Economic
Diversification and Canada Linguistic. This initiative leads
to meetings between francophone associations and entrepreneurs,
and bilingual civil servants. Over the course of these gatherings,
civil servants have the opportunity to familiarize themselves
with the diversity of the francophone community within British-Colombia.
They also get a chance to practice their French, which is
their second language at work. As part of this project,
Nathalie Clavaud was invited to facilitate a workshop in
French in June 2004 in Vancouver.
